Celebrating Bacolod Through Local Cinema
BACOLOD - The 3rd Bacolod Film Festival 2026 has officially selected 10 Bacolodnon films that will showcase the city’s culture, beliefs, family values, traditions, and stories. The selected films represent different perspectives and creative voices from local filmmakers, highlighting stories that reflect the identity and experiences of Bacolodnon communities. Scheduled for November 2026, the festival will provide audiences with an opportunity to appreciate locally produced films and support the city's growing film industry.
Meet the 10 Official Film Selections
The 10 official selections are “Beware of Dog” by Rolf Dubouzet Baynosa, “Tigayon” by Nathan Bringuer, “Si Balong Gin Bulang” by Farlyn John Casidsid, “Buklod Balod Bakod Bacolod” by Dranreb Cimatu, and “Ka Aslum Sang Batwan” by Renzo Grijaldo. The lineup also includes “Princaesar” by Jaden Tenzing Mijares, “Lumay” by Mai Montelibano, “Duwa Duwa” by Kurt Soberano, “Tukturúok” by Reginald Amador Zack Verzosa, and “Ang Tagabantay” by Pamela Reinee Viedor. Together, these films demonstrate the creativity of Bacolod’s filmmakers and their ability to tell stories rooted in local culture and identity.
