Improving the Bilar Public Market
BOHOL - The Provincial Government of Bohol (PGBh), led by Governor Aris Aumentado, supported the improvement of the Bilar Public Market through its PHP5-million assistance extended to every municipality in the province. The support aims to finance projects that can provide direct and lasting benefits to local communities. In Bilar, the assistance helped fund improvements to the public market, contributing to a more functional and organized environment for vendors and consumers.
A New and More Welcoming Market Space
The newly constructed market building was inaugurated and formally turned over on August 29, providing vendors, consumers, and families with a cleaner, more organized, and welcoming space. The project also included new market tables that replaced old and deteriorated ones, giving vendors improved facilities for conducting their daily business. Better market infrastructure can make everyday transactions more comfortable while creating a more pleasant environment for residents who rely on the public market for their household needs.
Investing in a Smarter and More Sustainable Bohol
The project reflects the PGBh's commitment to responsive development and investments that directly benefit communities. It is aligned with the Strategic Change Roadmap, which envisions a smart, resilient, inclusive, and sustainable province. At the same time, investments in community infrastructure contribute to Bohol's continuing development as the Philippines' first and only UNESCO Global Geopark Regenerative Island. Through projects that improve everyday public facilities, the provincial government continues to strengthen local communities while supporting Bohol's broader vision for sustainable and inclusive development.
