Strengthening Women’s Organizations Across Bohol
BOHOL - The Provincial Government of Bohol continues to support initiatives that promote women’s empowerment and stronger community partnerships. Through its support for the Bohol Women Association, the provincial government helped facilitate the organization’s General Assembly, which gathered presidents of women’s associations from different municipalities across Bohol. Led by BOHWA President Marivic Golosino, the gathering provided an opportunity for women leaders to strengthen coordination, exchange ideas, and discuss programs that can further benefit their members and communities.
Improving Organizational Management and Sustainability
During the assembly, members discussed the management and development of organizational funds to ensure that available resources are used effectively and provide greater benefits to association members. The women’s groups also planned upcoming fundraising activities that can help strengthen the association and provide additional resources for future programs. These discussions highlighted the importance of sound organizational management and collective participation in sustaining initiatives that support women at the community level.
Advancing Inclusive Community Development
The continued strengthening of women’s organizations contributes to broader efforts to promote inclusive and participatory development across Bohol. By bringing together women leaders from different municipalities, BOHWA can encourage collaboration, strengthen community networks, and create opportunities for women to take active roles in local development. The initiative reinforces the PGBh Strategic Change Agenda in building a smart, resilient, inclusive, and sustainable province while supporting the Sustainable Development Goals of the Bohol Island UNESCO Global Geopark.
