Young Boholanos Turn Ideas Into Action
BOHOL - Young Boholanos showcased their creativity, leadership, and commitment to community development during the Pasundayag sa Kabatan-onan: The Sandugo Youth Impact Fair held on August 28 at Cambangay Hall, Provincial Capitol, Tagbilaran City. The activity provided a platform for young people to present initiatives designed to address issues within their communities. Through their projects, the participants demonstrated how youth ideas can be transformed into practical actions that contribute to a smarter, more resilient, and inclusive Bohol.
Eight Youth-Led Initiatives Take Center Stage
The fair featured eight youth-led initiatives covering a wide range of community concerns, including environmental protection, cultural preservation, education, civic participation, community outreach, and inclusive development. Featured projects included Pag-atiman by Kabiling Lunhaw, Tingog ug Sayaw by LUPAE Tubigon, Basura Nimo, Baylo Gamit Sa Eskwela Ko by SK Brgy. Nueva Fuerza, Ordinis Nostrae Excellentia by SK Brgy. Poblacion Maribojoc, Project Gugma by the Historical Sophists Club of BISU Main Campus, Project WasteTUNErgy by BNHS YES-O, On The Bins Of L.O.V.E by YES-O of Felix E. Bompat High School Panglao, and Paglangkob Program by LYDC Antequera. The variety of projects highlighted the different ways young people can contribute to their schools, communities, and the province.
Empowering Youth as Partners in Bohol’s Future
The Sandugo Youth Impact Fair reflects the Provincial Government of Bohol’s commitment, under the leadership of Gov. Aris Aumentado, to empower young Boholanos as partners in building a smarter, more resilient, and inclusive province. By providing platforms for youth-led initiatives, the province encourages young people to become active contributors to community development rather than simply beneficiaries of government programs.
