Negros Oriental’s Public Employment Service Office (PESO) earned multiple regional awards for its outstanding performance and accomplishments in 2025, highlighting its efforts to expand employment opportunities and strengthen services for jobseekers across the province. The office's achievements extended beyond recruitment activities, as it also received recognition for having the highest number of Career Development and Support Programs (CDSP) in Negros Oriental.
A Recognition Earned Through Service
At the 1st Regional PESOMAP Negros Island Region (NIR) Congress 2026, held at Nature’s Village Resort in Talisay City, Negros Occidental, PESO Negros Oriental was recognized for its strong performance in delivering employment-related programs and services. The province received several awards covering job fairs, Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) programs, career development initiatives, and other employment services.
Standing Out Among Regional PESOs
Among the recognitions received was the award for Top Performing PESO Managers in the Negros Island Region, along with the Regional Award for Most Number of Job Fairs Conducted. These distinctions reflect the office’s active role in creating opportunities for jobseekers and connecting them with potential employers through employment-focused activities. The recognitions also included a Provincial Award for PESOs that sponsored 2025 meetings, seminars, and trainings, as well as recognition for the successful conduct of the Labor Day Job Fair.
More Opportunities for Jobseekers
PESO Negros Oriental was also recognized for implementing the most DOLE programs and achieving the highest number of Hires-on-the-Spot (HOTS) during job fairs. These accomplishments show how employment initiatives can create more direct pathways for residents seeking work, particularly through programs that bring jobseekers and employers together.
