Unlike the colorful chaos of MassKara season, the PRISAA Games bring a steadier and more citywide movement. Delegations move between schools, gyms, dormitories, cafés, and malls from morning until night. Restaurants near major venues are expected to see longer queues, while transport operators anticipate heavier passenger flow throughout the competition period. The event gives Bacolod another chance to present itself as more than a food destination.
Hotels and Cafés Feel the Surge
Accommodation providers across the city began preparing early for the arrival of roughly 12,000 delegates and visitors. Budget inns, transient spaces, and larger hotels all expect higher occupancy during the week-long games. Café owners are also anticipating stronger sales as student groups and visiting families look for places to gather between events. In many ways, the tournament creates the kind of extended foot traffic businesses normally only see during major festivals.

Bacolod’s Shift Toward Event Tourism
For years, the city’s tourism identity revolved heavily around food and celebrations. Now, sports events are increasingly becoming part of that conversation. Hosting large-scale competitions allows Bacolod to showcase its venues, transportation access, and hospitality industry to visitors from around the country. The PRISAA Games may only last days, but city officials and business owners are clearly hoping the exposure lingers much longer.
