A major vote of confidence in Clark's tourism future arrived on April 28, 2026, as Korean investor JnH Philippines Development Corp. signed an amended lease agreement with the Clark Development Corp. (CDC) for an ₱840-million mixed-use expansion project . The revised deal compresses the original five-year construction timeline to just 30 months, signaling strong investor confidence in the freeport's booming hospitality sector .
CDC President and CEO Agnes Devanadera signed the agreement alongside JnH Philippines President Lee Sangte at the Clark Visitors Center, covering a 17,373-square-meter site along C.M. Recto Highway . "This is a story beset with challenges posed by the pandemic, which was totally unexpected," Devanadera said. "And yet, the corporation stood fast and, with all their resources, decided that they should pursue".
Phase 1 Pool Villas, Then Two 12-Storey Towers Rise
Under the accelerated timeline, JnH will focus on Phase 1 completion of 17 pool villas . Following that, developers will add a 15-storey mixed-use tower and two 12-storey buildings . The phased delivery approach allows portions of the development to open ahead of full completion, responding directly to surging visitor demand.
CDC records show that the Clark Freeport Zone recorded over 1.5 million overnight guests and 1.8 million same-day visitors in 2025 . This surge has created heightened demand for new accommodations and lifestyle spaces, which this project directly addresses. "The company targets completion within 30 months, with phased delivery allowing portions of the development to open ahead of full completion," the CDC noted.
Expanding Clark's 4,100-Room Inventory and MICE Leadership
The project will expand Clark's current hotel room inventory of 4,100 rooms, providing much-needed capacity for the growing number of tourists and business travelers . It will further reinforce the freeport's position as a premier hub for tourism, property investment, and Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions (MICE) events.
In 2025 alone, Clark hosted 196 MICE events with 538,146 attendees, underscoring its status as a premier destination for international conferences . The freeport was also recognized as "Asia's Leading Meetings and Conference Destination for Asia and Oceania" at the 32nd World Travel Awards, further solidifying its reputation.
Investor Confidence Amid Tourism Surge
JnH President Lee Sangte affirmed the company's commitment to aligning construction with market demand and evolving visitor preferences . The decision to shorten the construction timeline rather than delay reflects the strong recovery of Clark's tourism sector post-pandemic. Devanadera welcomed the development, noting that the scale of the investment helps position Clark as a competitive destination for both tourism and international business .
Clark currently draws an estimated 32.6 million visitors annually, with total spending reaching P38.72 billion in 2025 . As the freeport continues to attract international hotel brands and major infrastructure investments, this latest expansion represents another step toward solidifying Clark's status as Central Luzon's premier gateway for tourism, business, and investment.
