Pampanga Provincial Hospital-Clark (PPH-Clark) is equipped with advanced diagnostic technology including CT scanners, X-ray machines, endoscopy systems, and mammogram equipment, enabling early detection of serious illnesses for over 151,000 workers and residents in the Clark Freeport Zone.
A Level II Facility with Advanced Diagnostic Capabilities
PPH-Clark stands as a testament to modern public healthcare, built in accordance with Department of Health standards for Level II hospitals . The three-story facility, located at Changi Gateway in Clark Global City, houses advanced medical technology including CT scan units, X-ray machines, endoscopy systems, and mammogram equipment . These diagnostic tools are essential for catching diseases at their earliest, most treatable stages. Beyond diagnostics, the hospital offers comprehensive services such as Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB-GYNE), Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), radiology, laboratory, pulmonary, cardiovascular, and dental care . With a total bed capacity of 143—including 110 ward beds and 33 private and semi-private rooms—the facility is designed to serve not only Pampanga residents but also the over 151,000 employees, investors, and business locators operating within the freeport zone.
Multi-Million Peso Investment in Public Health
The establishment of PPH-Clark represents a significant collaborative investment in the province's healthcare infrastructure. The hospital's construction cost P601.74 million, funded through the combined support of the Provincial Government of Pampanga (P246.86 million), the Department of Health (P210 million), and PAGCOR (P100 million), with additional P44.88 million from BCDA for accessibility improvements . For medical equipment and hospital systems, the provincial government allocated over P115 million, while various partner agencies contributed P140.57 million worth of additional medical equipment and supplies through donations . The Office of the President also extended approximately P85 million in medical equipment support.
Zero-Balance Billing and Preventive Focus
Governor Lilia "Nanay" Pineda has emphasized that the hospital was built primarily for indigent patients and workers who often delay treatment due to financial constraints. The hospital is pursuing PhilHealth YAKAP accreditation, which will provide free medical consultations, laboratory tests, and medicines to Filipinos. This initiative aligns with the provincial government's broader commitment to preventive healthcare, where early detection through advanced diagnostic equipment significantly reduces the need for costly treatments by catching illnesses before they become life-threatening . President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., who inspected the facility on May 14, 2026, reaffirmed the national government's commitment to improving public healthcare services in Central Luzon.
