Clark International Airport (CRK) has firmly cemented its position as a vital regional economic driver, handling a record 2.75 million passengers in 2025. This 14% increase from 2024 now ranks it as the 5th busiest airport in the country, with international travelers making up the majority of this traffic.
International Travel and Operational Growth Fuel Record Passenger Volume
Operating under the LIPAD Corporation, the Pampanga-based hub saw international demand surge by 10% to 1.71 million passengers, accounting for 62% of total traffic . Domestic travel also rose significantly, climbing 23% to 1.04 million . System-wide airline capacity expanded by 12%, with total available seats reaching 3.76 million . This was driven largely by a 21% increase in domestic capacity and Cebu Pacific's gradual transfer of its turboprop operations to Clark, which increased connectivity and solidified CRK's role as a reliable alternative gateway outside Metro Manila.
Global Recognition and Future Outlook
Clark International Airport has been recognized as one of only six airports worldwide to receive the Best Airports at Arrivals Globally award at the 2025 Airport Service Quality (ASQ) Customer Experience Awards, organized by Airports Council International (ACI) World . The ASQ program is the only global benchmarking program that measures passenger satisfaction in real-time while travelers are at the airport . “To be named among the world’s Best Airports at Arrivals is a proud moment for Clark International Airport and for the Philippines,” said LIPAD President and CEO Noel Manankil . This achievement underscores CRK's exceptional passenger experience and smooth, welcoming environment, which have become hallmarks of the CRK travel journey. As CRK's role as a world-class gateway continues to grow, these global recognitions reaffirm its importance as a premier destination for both leisure and business travel, solidifying its place as a key player in the Philippine aviation landscape.
