Classic Savory is a Manila Chinese-Filipino dining institution built around its heritage Savory fried chicken, tracing back to the 1940s Tops Cafe and 1951 Savory Luncheonette. Its menu spans classic fried chicken, Chinese-style pork, beef and seafood, noodles, soups and the signature Black Pot series.
Classic Savory traces its roots to the early 1940s, when Tony Ting opened Tops Cafe on Rizal Avenue in Manila; after World War II the business moved in 1951 to Escolta Street as Savory Luncheonette, where its fried chicken became a Manila institution. In 2007, Ting's son Ramon Tan relaunched the brand as Classic Savory at SM Mall of Asia. The chain now operates around 115 locations across the Philippines.
