Since 2019

Popeyes was founded by Al Copeland in Arabi, Louisiana, a suburb of New Orleans, and first opened on June 12, 1972. The chain arrived in the Philippines in 2001 but left in 2007, then returned through a deal with Kuya J Group in 2018. Its first restaurant under that deal opened at ArcoVia City in Pasig on May 19, 2019, and its Philippine menu added Popeyes Spaghetti, a sweet, meaty dish developed for Filipinos.
