Texas Roadhouse was founded by Kent Taylor in 1993 on the principles of fresh, authentic food made by hand: hand-cut steaks, fall-off-the-bone ribs, sides made from scratch and bread baked fresh every five minutes. Taylor was inspired by the traditional roadhouses along the rural roads of Texas, local gathering places where people of all ages could enjoy a great meal for a great price.
