Restaurant listings on Homes.ph are compiled from public sources and are not owned, operated or endorsed by Homes.ph unless marked as a verified owner. Menus and opening hours may change without notice, and prices gathered from delivery apps usually run higher than in store because they include delivery and service fees. Treat the menus as a guide to what a kitchen serves, and confirm prices at the restaurant itself. If you own a restaurant listed here, open its page and choose Claim this restaurant to take over the listing.

Hooked on Seafood? Discover Ozamiz City’s Freshest Fish and Local Favorites

Ozamiz City offers a seafood experience shaped by familiar Philippine fish, tuna products, local markets, restaurants, and the continuing work of its fisherfolk.

Hooked on Seafood? Discover Ozamiz City’s Freshest Fish and Local Favorites

Start With the Fish You’ll Actually Find

OZAMIZ CITY - A good seafood trip in Ozamiz does not need to begin with an expensive restaurant order. BFAR Region X’s 2026 price-monitoring record for the Ozamiz City Public Market documents several familiar fish commodities, including bangus, tilapia, and fresh local galunggong. In the February 20 monitoring, bangus was listed at PHP150 per kilogram for small fish, PHP180–PHP200 for medium, and PHP220 for large; medium tilapia was PHP160, while large fresh local galunggong was PHP200. Prices naturally change, so these figures should not be treated as current September prices. Instead, they show the variety of fish that BFAR has documented in Ozamiz’s public-market trade.

Tuna Gives Ozamiz Seafood Another Identity

Tuna deserves its own place in the guide. BFAR’s 2026 list of EU-approved fishery establishments identifies Agri-Aquatic Care Enterprise Inc. in Manabay, Ozamiz City, as handling fresh chilled and fresh frozen tuna. The listed products include whole tuna in different forms, as well as loins, steaks, cubes, and saku cuts. That range illustrates how seafood can move beyond the traditional whole-fish display and become products prepared for different culinary or commercial uses. Diners looking for tuna dishes can also find seafood restaurants in the city, while current restaurant listings include establishments such as Yammy’s Seafoods Grill, Villatuna, and Coastal Seafood and Grill. Menus and availability, however, should be confirmed directly.

Choose Seafood With a Little More Awareness

The best seafood guide is not simply a list of dishes; it also helps people make sensible choices. In August 2026, the Philippine Information Agency reported that 1,700 qualified farmers and fisherfolk from 51 Ozamiz City barangays received assistance through the Presidential Assistance for Farmers and Fisherfolk Program. DA-10 also said regular programs providing production inputs and other support would continue. That matters to seafood consumers because fish on a plate is connected to people who catch, raise, transport, sell, and process it. When shopping, look for properly handled seafood, ask vendors about freshness, and check BFAR advisories when buying shellfish. A thoughtful seafood meal begins before cooking.
