DASMARIÑAS CITY, Cavite — Cavite’s matcha lovers have a fresh reason to celebrate as The Matcha Tokyo officially opened its first branch in the province at SM City Dasmariñas this August. The Japanese specialty café brings its celebrated 100-percent organic green tea to the Lower Ground Level, offering a calming new hangout spot.

A Taste of Tokyo’s Finest Green Tea

The Matcha Tokyo sources its tea leaves from organic farms that use natural spring water and pesticide-free soil, resulting in a smooth, umami-rich flavor without the bitterness often found in commercial powders. Every drink is crafted to highlight the natural character of the tea, whether served hot or iced. This commitment to quality has earned the brand a loyal following across Metro Manila.

The Dasmariñas branch features the café’s signature minimalist Japanese interior, with open-concept seating that invites guests to linger over their drinks. Soft lighting and clean wooden accents create a serene escape from the mall’s bustling corridors. It’s a space designed as much for quiet reflection as for catching up with friends.

Signature Drinks and Sweet Pairings

The menu offers a wide range of matcha and hojicha beverages, including the classic Matcha Latte and the indulgent Matcha Salted Cream Latte. For those seeking something different, fusion options like Matcha Ube and Matcha Earl Grey Latte blend Japanese tradition with local and Western flavors. Refreshing cold options such as Matcha Lemonade and Frozen Matcha are also available.

Beyond drinks, the café serves Japanese-inspired desserts and pastries. Guests can enjoy creamy Matcha and Hojicha Soft Serve, traditional treats like Dorayaki and Warabi Mochi, and baked goods including Matcha French Flan and Basque Burnt Cheesecake. Take-home items such as premium matcha powder and latte sticks allow enthusiasts to recreate the experience at home.

A Welcome Addition to Cavite’s Food Scene

The opening marks a significant expansion for the brand, which previously required Cavite residents to travel to Metro Manila locations such as Mitsukoshi BGC or One Ayala. Now, students, families, and professionals in Dasmariñas and nearby areas can enjoy authentic Japanese tea just minutes from home.

The café operates during regular mall hours from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM daily. With its accessible location and affordable price range of ₱140 to ₱380 for individual items, The Matcha Tokyo is poised to become a regular destination for both matcha enthusiasts and curious newcomers alike.
