This rare exhibition features paintings and pottery by the late Filipino artist, a reclusive figure who spent his final years on the foothills of Mount Banahaw. This is the first time these works are being shared with the public, all sourced from the collection of writer-scholar-lawyer Saul Hofileña Jr., whose friendship with the artist lasted until his passing.

The exhibition offers a unique window into the introspective and mysterious world of de Guzman, whose later works focused on spiritual landscapes and reflective figurative paintings. His portraits, reminiscent of Modigliani's style, depict figures with melancholic, secretive looks, while his landscapes evoke a sense of being inside a forest. The display also includes pottery, highlighting the artist's diverse artistry and his deep connection to the mystical mountain that served as his final home. The exhibition is accompanied by the book "The Enigma of Jaime de Guzman: Collected Works of the Painter of the Mystic Mountain," detailing his life and legacy.
