Music lovers in Bonifacio Global City have another reason to look forward to October as Pinoy Playlist Musikahan (PPM) 2026 brings a weekend filled with Original Pilipino Music, live performances, interactive experiences, and community-driven music activities to the BGC Arts Center. Set for October 17 and 18, 2026, the event is designed to make audiences more than just spectators. PPM 2026 invites families, friends, music enthusiasts, and communities to take part in different ways of experiencing Filipino music.
A Weekend Dedicated to Filipino Music
Pinoy Playlist Musikahan 2026 is curated by National Artist for Music Maestro Ryan Cayabyab, Noel Ferrer, Moy Ortiz, and Maria Isabel Garcia. The program explores Filipino music through performances, conversations, participatory activities, and creative collaborations. Instead of simply watching artists perform, attendees can become part of the experience through activities such as the One-Day Choir, Community Karaoke, Modern Harana, Salinawit, and Music-Making Zone. The event continues the Pinoy Playlist tradition of celebrating Filipino musical talent across different genres and generations, while creating opportunities for audiences to connect with music and with one another.
What to Expect on October 17
The first day begins with Pinoy Playlist Conversations: Healing with Music at the Zobel de Ayala Recital Hall from 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. The session features music therapist Thea Tolentino and explores how music can connect with people's inner lives and contribute to healing. From 5 p.m. to 11 p.m., the venue will host live performances and interactive music sessions, including Talahib, OPM Spotlight, and Salinawit, which gives foreign songs a Filipino-language interpretation. One of the day's special highlights is the One-Day Choir, where participants can learn and perform the Filipino pop classic Awitin Mo, Isasayaw Ko by VST & Company. No auditions are required, making the activity an opportunity for people to experience group singing and harmony together. Outside the main venues, visitors can explore the Music-Making Zone at the Sun Life Amphitheater, browse local creations at the BGC Art Mart, and experience Modern Harana around Alveo Central Plaza and Bonifacio High Street.
More Music and Community Experiences on October 18
The celebration continues on Sunday with Pinoy Playlist Conversations: Why Does Culture Cost?, scheduled from 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. The discussion brings together the PPM curators to explore the resources involved in promoting culture and its wider role in society.
The evening program features performances including Rony Fortich and Pinoy Playlist Musikwentuhan with Acapellago, while the Globe Auditorium hosts the Community Karaoke special event. Community Karaoke gives participants the chance to sing along with a live show band performing songs from a curated and audience-voted list of Original Pilipino Music. The weekend culminates at 9 p.m. with “Painting the Colors of OPM!”, a collaborative finale led by Maestro Ryan Cayabyab, vocalists and choirs, and artists from the Linangan Art Residency led by Manny Garibay. Live music and visual art will come together through a shared creative performance.
