Bohol Athlete Excels in National Karate Competition
BOHOL - Eveline Van Der Hoek of Panglao represented Bohol at the 7th Manuel Veguillas Philippine International Open Karate Championship 2026, held at the Velodrome in Tagaytay City on August 22, 2026. Competing under Sphinx Shotokan Karatedo International - JKS, she won the bronze medal in the 61kg Senior Female Kumite category. Her achievement reflects the discipline, preparation, and skill required to compete at a high level in karate. The Provincial Government of Bohol, under the leadership of Gov. Aris Aumentado, together with the Provincial Youth Development Office, recognized her accomplishment and contribution to the province’s growing sports achievements.
