The Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) has achieved its highest-ever ranking as the 6th top-performing government-owned and -controlled corporation (GOCC) in the Philippines, following a record-breaking total remittance of PHP 5.7 billion to the national government.

A Record-Breaking Performance for BCDA

The BCDA was among the 50 state-run corporations recognized during the GOCC Day celebration at Malacañan Palace on July 8, 2026, led by President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. and Finance Secretary Frederick D. Go . This year's event highlighted a record PHP 147.15 billion in total dividend remittances from all GOCCs, with PHP 140 billion already collected—a 29% increase from the previous year . The BCDA's remittance of PHP 5.7 billion represents a 5% increase from its PHP 5.45 billion contribution in 2025 . The amount is equivalent to approximately 330 kilometers of roads, 2,300 classrooms, 1,700 hospital beds, or 3,800 housing units under the Pambansang Pabahay Para sa Pilipino Program.

Breaking Down the PHP 5.7 Billion Contribution

Of the total remittance, PHP 2.6 billion came from dividends—the highest in BCDA's history and 18.18% higher than the PHP 2.2 billion recorded in 2025 . This represents 61% of BCDA's net earnings, exceeding the 50% minimum required under Republic Act No. 7656 or the Dividend Law . The remaining PHP 3.09 billion came from asset disposition proceeds, which will be distributed to beneficiary agencies, including a significant share for the Armed Forces of the Philippines Modernization Program . This builds on BCDA's cumulative PHP 103 billion contribution to the AFP Modernization Program from May 1993 to December 2025, in line with Republic Act No. 7227 or the Bases Conversion and Development Act . Notably, PHP 300 million of the total dividends has been allocated to help the national government cushion the impact of rising fuel prices on vulnerable sectors.

Subsidiaries Boost BCDA's Financial Standing

The agency's strong financial performance was bolstered by robust contributions from four key subsidiaries . The Clark Development Corporation (CDC) remitted PHP 2.597 billion, which represents more than PHP 8 billion in cumulative dividends over the past four years . The Clark International Airport Corporation (CIAC) contributed PHP 585.71 million, an 88% increase from the previous year, driven by a net income of PHP 976 million in 2025 . Poro Point Management Corporation and John Hay Management Corporation also contributed PHP 16.67 million and PHP 11.51 million, respectively . CDC President and CEO Atty. Agnes VST Devanadera emphasized that the remittance reflects "the power of fiscal discipline, good governance, operational excellence, and responsible stewardship of public assets" .
