Ateneo de Manila University is building a 15-hectare campus in the Riverpark township in General Trias, Cavite. Developed in partnership with GT Capital Holdings Inc. and its property arm Federal Land, Inc., this world-class Jesuit institution is slated to open by 2030.
A New Chapter for Jesuit Education in the South
The Riverpark campus represents a significant expansion of Ateneo de Manila University's mission beyond its Quezon City main campus. Fr. Roberto C. Yap, S.J., Ateneo de Manila University President, emphasized that the campus will extend access to holistic, values-driven formation for learners and families in the south . This expansion aligns with Jesuit education's tradition of forming students intellectually, morally, and spiritually toward lives of solidarity, service, and professional success.
The 15-hectare campus, equivalent to 150,000 square meters , will be located within Riverpark, Federal Land's flagship master-planned community in General Trias . GT Capital vice chair Alfred Ty described the development as a significant step, stating, "We can finally say that the eagle has landed" . The partnership underscores GT Capital's commitment to creating sustainable value for generations of Filipinos through education and community development.
A Strategic Location in a Rapidly Growing Township
Riverpark is envisioned as the "Next-Gen City of the South," a smart and sustainable community designed to integrate residential neighborhoods, commercial districts, logistics hubs, educational institutions, and lifestyle destinations within a single connected ecosystem . The Ateneo campus is strategically positioned within this ecosystem and will be accessible through the Cavite-Laguna Expressway (CALAX) Open Canal Interchange, significantly improving travel time to and from the township .
The campus will be part of a burgeoning academic and economic corridor in Cavite that includes developments like the University of the Philippines Technology Innovation Campus in Dasmariñas and established institutions such as De La Salle University-Dasmariñas. Riverpark currently hosts a UNIQLO Logistics Facility, will soon have SM City General Trias, and has seen a 100-percent takeup of its first-phase commercial lots . By 2030, this integrated community will offer students and families a complete environment for living, learning, and growth.
