DASMARIÑAS CITY, CAVITE - formally blessed the new school building of Paliparan III Elementary School on August 24, 2026, in a ceremony attended by Mayor Jenny Austria-Barzaga, Vice Mayor Third Barzaga, city councilors, barangay officials, and school administrators. The event marked another milestone in the city's ongoing commitment to improving educational infrastructure and providing quality learning environments for its growing student population.

A Growing Commitment to Education in Dasmariñas

Dasmariñas continues to strengthen its educational infrastructure as the city's population grows and the demand for quality public schools increases. Paliparan III Elementary School, located in one of the city's key barangays, has been a recipient of government investments aimed at improving learning conditions for students. In 2021, the Department of Education allocated PHP9,172,055 for the electrification of the school, part of the Basic Educational Facilities Fund that modernized electrical systems in un-energized schools . The Paliparan area has also benefited from other community-focused projects, including the inauguration of the 55th Bahay Bulilit Learning Center in February 2026.

The blessing ceremony was attended by Mayor Jenny Austria-Barzaga, Vice Mayor Third Barzaga, and members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod, along with barangay officials and school administrators. The local government has consistently prioritized education as a cornerstone of city development, with the City Council and local leaders working alongside the Department of Education to ensure that public school facilities meet the needs of students and teachers alike. City Planning Officer Engr. Jonas Dela Cuesta and City Social Welfare and Development Officer Joven A. Dicen have also been instrumental in aligning educational projects with the city's long-term development goals.

A Community Anchor for Paliparan III

The new school building serves as a vital community anchor for Barangay Paliparan III and nearby areas. Barangay Captain Crisanto C. Maya has expressed pride in hosting educational facilities that serve families within walking distance, removing barriers that often prevent consistent attendance in school and early learning programs . The blessing of the new building follows previous upgrades to the school, including the electrification project that modernized its facilities and created a safer, more conducive learning environment.

As Dasmariñas continues to grow as the largest city in Cavite by population, investments in public education remain a priority for the local government. The Paliparan III Elementary School blessing is part of a broader effort to ensure that every child in the city has access to quality education in a safe and well-equipped environment, with support from the City Social Welfare and Development Office and other local agencies helping to strengthen the link between education and community development.
