BACOOR CITY — In a powerful move that tackles environmental resilience and economic relief at the same time, the City Government of Bacoor officially launched a massive, month-long clean-up and drainage declogging initiative along Evangelista Road. The project, which kicked off with an official ceremony, represents a dual victory for the city: creating vital flood protection ahead of severe weather while putting millions of pesos directly into the pockets of hardworking locals.
Dignity in Action: PHP18,000 for 300 Bacooreños
At the heart of the initiative are 300 local residents who have been hired as beneficiaries of the project. Running from September 15 to October 15, 2026, the one-month engagement guarantees each worker a dignified stipend of PHP18,000. The crucial funding and employment opportunity were made possible through the robust support of the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE). Mayor Strike B. Revilla expressed his deep gratitude to DOLE during the launch, emphasizing how collaborative government efforts can create meaningful impacts on grassroots families.

Robert San Jose. While operations are currently centered on the clearing of debris and deep-seated sludge along Evangelista Road, teams are scheduled to systematically move across all major thoroughfares in Bacoor over the next 30 days.
