GENERAL SANTOS CITY - Bao’s Philippine Champion achievement carries a particularly personal story. According to her owner’s September 2026 post, the journey began when Bao was only six months old and would watch dog competitions on television. That early fascination eventually encouraged her owner to look for someone who could train Bao and help develop her potential. Years of preparation led to a memorable weekend in General Santos on September 5–6. The Philippine Canine Club’s 2026 schedule confirms that the Socsargen Kennel Club Inc. and Chow Chow Club of the Philippines Inc. hosted six all-breed championship shows in General Santos during those dates, alongside breed specialty competitions.
Five Strong Results Across Two Days
Bao’s reported results show just how productive the weekend became. On Day 1, September 5, she received Best Bitch and Best Opposite Sex under Judges Victor Roman Santos and Dr. Raymundo Lo. The following day brought three more reported wins: Best Bitch and Best Opposite Sex under Judges Haruko Mizukoshi and Candy Liu, followed by Best Bitch, Best Opposite Sex, Best of Winners, Philippine Breed, and Philippine-Born in Group under Judge Simon Sim. These individual awards are based on the owner’s Facebook announcement; the PCCI schedule independently confirms that all five named judges were assigned to the General Santos shows.

For Bao’s family, the title represents more than a collection of ribbons.
