Bacolod Brings MICE Stakeholders Together
BACOLOD - The City Government of Bacolod, through the Bacolod City Tourism Development Office, is preparing to host the Bacolod MICE Summit 2026 on August 25 at Roy’s Hotel and Convention Center. The event is expected to gather approximately 250 participants representing different sectors connected to the city's tourism and business industries. Participants will include representatives from hotels, restaurants, transportation providers, event organizers, businesses, government agencies, and other tourism-related organizations. By bringing these groups together in one venue, the city hopes to encourage stronger communication and identify opportunities that can benefit Bacolod's growing business tourism sector.
Building a Stronger MICE Industry Through Collaboration
Carrying the theme “Building Connections, Creating Opportunities: Strengthening Bacolod’s MICE Future,” the summit will focus on developing stronger partnerships among stakeholders. Industry leaders are expected to discuss strategies that can help Bacolod attract more meetings, corporate gatherings, incentive trips, conferences, and exhibitions. Speakers include Natalie Lim, Chairperson of the Iloilo MICE Alliance; Louella D. Caridad, General Manager of Mactan Expo, Megaworld Corporation; and Department of Tourism Regional Director Crisanta Marlene P. Rodriguez. Their perspectives are expected to provide participants with practical insights into destination competitiveness, industry coordination, and the opportunities available within the MICE sector.
Bacolod MICE Alliance to Create a Unified Industry Platform
One of the major highlights of the summit will be the presentation and adoption of the Bacolod MICE Alliance framework, which is intended to bring the city's MICE stakeholders together under a more coordinated structure. The event will also include the formation and adoption of the alliance's officers and Board of Directors. Through the alliance, businesses and government partners can work more closely in developing programs, establishing partnerships, promoting events, and creating strategies that strengthen Bacolod's appeal to organizers and visitors. A unified industry platform could also make it easier for stakeholders to coordinate when pursuing larger conferences and events that require cooperation across several sectors.
