ILOILO — Low-cost carrier Cebu Pacific is bringing back direct international connectivity to Western Visayas. The airline announced on August 18, 2026, that it will resume flights from Iloilo to Bangkok and Singapore starting November 23, giving travelers more options to reach key Asian cities.

More Travel Options for Western Visayas

The resumption ends a months-long suspension of these popular routes. Cebu Pacific will operate flights to both Bangkok's Don Mueang Airport and Singapore's Changi Airport three times weekly. Outbound flights depart every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, with return flights scheduled every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday.

This direct access eliminates the need for travelers to transit through Manila or Cebu. It saves significant time and money, making international travel more accessible for residents of Panay Island and neighboring provinces. The routes are expected to be particularly popular during the upcoming holiday season.

Affordable Promo Fares

To celebrate the return, Cebu Pacific is launching a seat sale with one-way base fares starting at just ₱199. The promotional pricing is available for booking until August 31, 2026. This attractive fare makes exploring Bangkok's bustling night markets and Singapore's iconic attractions more achievable for budget-conscious travelers.

The airline's decision to reinstate these routes reflects improving conditions in the aviation sector. Jet fuel prices, which had spiked dramatically earlier in the year due to Middle East tensions, have since declined. This has allowed airlines to rebuild their networks and offer more competitive pricing.

Boon for Inbound Tourism

The resumption is not just good news for outbound travelers. It also paves the way for international tourists from Thailand and Singapore to discover Iloilo. Visitors can now directly access the region's historic churches, scenic beaches, and renowned culinary experiences. This is expected to provide a welcome boost to the local tourism industry.

Cebu Pacific President and Chief Commercial Officer Alexander Lao expressed optimism for the fourth quarter. He noted that the airline is launching new flights across its network to strengthen connectivity. This includes new routes to China, Vietnam, and Japan, alongside the Iloilo resumptions.

A Network Expansion on the Horizon

The Iloilo flights are part of a broader expansion strategy by the carrier. Cebu Pacific is also restarting Clark to Hanoi and launching Cebu to Ho Chi Minh City and Nagoya. These moves signal a strong recovery and a commitment to providing Filipinos with more convenient and affordable travel options.

With its industry-leading fleet of 102 aircraft, Cebu Pacific continues to connect the archipelago to the world. The airline currently serves 35 domestic and 26 international destinations. The resumption of Iloilo-Bangkok and Iloilo-Singapore flights marks another step in restoring pre-suspension connectivity.
