TACLOBAN CITY — In celebration of Philippine Creative Industries Month, the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Leyte Provincial Office has officially mounted TARAGPO 3.0: Where Traditional Arts Meets Audio-Visual Creativity, running from September 10 to 13, 2026, at the Level 1 Expansion Activity Area of Robinsons Marasbaras.
Bridging Tradition, Modern Technology, and Creative Enterprise
Serving as more than a visual showcase, the event functions as a premier platform to transform artistic talent into sustainable livelihoods, commercial enterprises, and career opportunities across Leyte:
Expanding Creative Horizons: This year's installation significantly expands its scope by featuring 54 emerging local creators, including 44 painters and 10 audio-visual artists displaying works in oil, watercolor, sculpture, photography, videography, and digital media.
Intersection of Art and Tech: DTI Leyte Provincial Director Faustino V. Gayas highlighted the groundbreaking inclusion of multimedia practitioners and visual storytellers, demonstrating how modern content production and technology intersect with traditional artistic expressions.
Mentorship and Global Inspiration: Veteran artists and industry hall-of-famers attended to advocate for the creative sector as a viable career path, sharing their humble beginnings and international success stories to inspire the next generation.
