MAKATI CITY — The University of Makati served as the vibrant venue for the Colombia–Philippines Cultural Night, a celebration of bilateral friendship through music, dance, and artistic expression. Held on July 14, 2026, the event was organized in partnership with the Embassy of Colombia, the Makati City Government, and the University of Makati. It showcased the rich artistic traditions of both nations, positioning Makati as a premier destination for cultural tourism and international artistic exchange.
A Night of Performances Across Cultures
Colombia's internationally acclaimed dance company Ensálsate delivered a captivating performance, showcasing the energy and passion of Colombian culture through traditional and contemporary dance. Filipino artistry was equally celebrated, with performances by the UMAK Chorale, Tunog-Kawayan, the UMak DanceSport Team, and the SIGLAHI Team. Together, these presentations created a dynamic cultural experience that attracted members of the diplomatic community, students, faculty, and guests, highlighting Makati's role as a hub for cultural and artistic events.

The event was attended by Colombian Ambassador H.E. Edgar Rodrigo Rojas Garavito, International Relations Department Head Ms. Josephine Angela Yu, and University of Makati President Prof. Elyzxur C.
