CEBU — The Tubô Cebu Art Fair 2026 continues to pulse with creative energy at Ayala Center Cebu, celebrating the depth and diversity of Cebuano art under the theme “Resonance.” The fair, which opened on August 28, concludes today, August 31, offering a final chance to engage with local artists and their stories.

A Celebration of Cebuano Creativity

Curated by Asst. Prof. Jay Nathan Jore of UP Cebu’s College of Communication, Art, and Design, the fair brings together artists from across the province. The theme “Resonance” explores how art gains meaning through dialogue, exchange, and shared presence. It is a fitting framework for a gathering that prioritizes connection over mere display.

The fair’s venue, The Kabilin Center, has become a hub of activity over the past four days. Exhibitions, talks, workshops, and performances have drawn audiences eager to encounter the breadth of Cebuano creative expression. Each event offers a distinct entry point into the practices shaping contemporary art.

Final Day’s Program Invites Participation

The final day’s schedule is designed to deepen engagement with the fair’s themes. Storytelling sessions featuring the tale “Kalipay” will run from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm, accompanied by artwork from artist HG. Readers Keanne Salas and Yasu Aldawood will bring the story to life for audiences of all ages.

A series of Tubô Talks in the afternoon will explore significant topics. At 1:30 pm, “Finding Your Frequency” will feature panelists from Urban Sketchers discussing the practice of capturing place. This is followed at 3:00 pm by “Beyond the Studio,” which examines how environments can support thriving artistic communities.

A Closing That Celebrates Continuity

The afternoon continues with a special Tubô Talks session at 4:30 pm titled “Image of the Fair Artists on Resonance.” Featured artists include Pierre Famador, Enric Callangan, Jan Sunday, and Felix Catarata. Moderator Jay Nathan Jore will guide the conversation, offering audiences a final reflection on the fair’s impact.

The fair will officially close at 7:00 pm with a program led by emcee Josh Andrino. The closing celebration is expected to honor the artists, organizers, and attendees who made the event possible. It serves as a fitting conclusion to four days of artistic exchange and community building.

An Invitation to Experience Art Alive

For Cebuanos and visitors alike, Tubô Cebu Art Fair 2026 is a reminder that art is not static. It lives in the conversations sparked by a painting, the stories shared during a book talk, and the connections formed between strangers. The fair has succeeded in making art accessible and personal.

Today marks the last opportunity to be part of this vibrant exchange. Whether you are a seasoned art enthusiast or a curious newcomer, the fair welcomes you. Step into The Kabilin Center and discover how Cebuano art continues to resonate.
