CAGAYAN DE ORO — Cagayan de Oro is currently finalizing preparations to host the 35th Mindanao Business Conference, or MINBIZCON 2026, scheduled for August at the Limketkai Center Atrium. This major event is expected to draw between 800 and 1,200 delegates from both national and international business communities, highlighting the city’s capacity to support large-scale economic gatherings. A key feature of the opening day will be an investment forum conducted in partnership with the city government to draft resolutions aimed at driving regional economic growth.
Unlocking Mindanao’s Frontiers
Under the theme "Accelerating Inclusive Growth for Business Through Innovation and Sustainability," the conference aims to bridge existing gaps in digital infrastructure and agricultural value chains. The event serves as a platform for direct investment dialogues, B2B matching sessions, and high-level networking between private enterprise and global development partners. It is the sixth time that the city has hosted this premier gathering, reaffirming its reputation as a hub for industry leaders and policymakers.
Strategic Economic Policy
Oro Chamber president Almarco Brito has confirmed that recommendations arising from the conference will be formally submitted to the city council and provincial government. These inputs are intended to serve as a primary basis for strengthening policies that promote sustainable investment and long-term economic prosperity in Northern Mindanao. The conference runs from August 11 to 13, 2026, with organizers currently opening registration tiers for delegates across various sectors.
