ILOILO — The Department of Finance is bringing its GOCCs' Service Caravan to Robinsons Iloilo on October 6 to 7, 2026, offering residents a one-stop hub for government transactions. Finance Secretary Frederick D. Go personally invited Ilonggos to take advantage of the two-day event.
A One-Stop Shop for Government Services
The caravan consolidates 19 government-owned and controlled corporations and agencies under one roof. Residents can update records, apply for loans, secure identification documents, and access benefits without traveling to multiple offices. It embodies the DOF's commitment to bringing public services closer to every Filipino.
This initiative simplifies bureaucratic processes that often require multiple trips and long waiting times. By gathering agencies in a single accessible venue, the caravan saves time, reduces transportation costs, and improves the overall experience of availing government services. It reflects a people-centered approach to governance.
Services Available at the Caravan
The Bureau of Internal Revenue will address tax concerns, while the Bureau of the Treasury offers information on government bonds and properties. The Development Bank of the Philippines and DBP Leasing Corporation provide banking and loan assistance. LandBank also offers similar financial services.
For housing and savings, the Home Development Mutual Fund, better known as Pag-IBIG Fund, will assist members. The Government Service Insurance System handles pensions and insurance concerns. The Social Security System offers membership and benefit inquiries.
Health, Livelihood, and Documentation
PhilHealth representatives will be available for health insurance concerns. The Philippine Statistics Authority will process birth certificates and other civil registry documents. The Philippine Postal Corporation offers postal services and Postal ID applications.
Farmers and fisherfolk can consult the National Dairy Authority, Philippine Crop Insurance Corporation, and Philippine Rice Research Institute. Small business owners can explore loans through the Small Business Corporation. The Securities and Exchange Commission assists with business registration.
Other Participating Agencies
The Land Transportation Office will conduct seminars for student license and permit applicants. The Philippine Deposit Insurance Corporation explains deposit protection. The Privatization and Management Office provides information on government asset disposition.
Each agency brings frontline personnel ready to assist walk-in clients. Residents can accomplish multiple transactions in a single visit, making the caravan an efficient solution for busy individuals and families. The collaborative effort showcases how government agencies can work together to serve the public better.
An Opportunity for Every Ilonggo
Whether updating SSS records, applying for a Pag-IBIG loan, securing a Postal ID, or exploring business registration, the caravan covers a wide range of needs. Farmers, fisherfolk, employees, entrepreneurs, and students can all find relevant services.
Secretary Go emphasized that the DOF aims to make public services accessible and convenient for all. The caravan travels to different provinces to reach communities directly. Iloilo is the latest stop, and residents are encouraged to visit Robinsons Iloilo on October 6 and 7.
