Fifteen Names, One Proud Moment
GENERAL SANTOS CITY - RMMC-General Santos is celebrating 15 newly registered criminologists following the August 2026 Criminologists Licensure Examination. The school announced the achievement as a milestone for its College of Criminal Justice, recognizing the graduates’ preparation and perseverance. Their success comes alongside a nationwide examination in which 16,952 of 29,452 examinees passed, according to the Professional Regulation Commission. For the new RMMC professionals, however, the result represents something more personal: years of coursework, examinations, practical preparation, and the final step toward professional registration. Their accomplishment adds another group of qualified criminology graduates to General Santos City’s pool of professionals preparing for careers connected to public safety, law enforcement, corrections, and related fields.
A Program Built Around Service
The achievement also reflects the work of RMMC’s College of Criminal Justice, which offers a four-year Bachelor of Science in Criminology program. The program prepares students for fields including crime prevention, law enforcement, scientific crime detection, correctional administration, and public safety. RMMC has also continued developing its criminology program in 2026, with its dean and assistant dean elected to leadership roles within the Region XII Council of Criminology Deans and Program Heads. These developments provide useful context for the latest board-exam result: the 15 passers are joining a school community that continues to place attention on criminology education, professional preparation, leadership, and service.
More Than a Board Exam Result
For General Santos City, each new batch of registered criminologists adds professionals who can eventually pursue careers across the justice and public-safety sectors. RMMC’s own program information lists opportunities ranging from police and corrections work to forensic, security, environmental, and other enforcement-related careers. The school has also celebrated criminology alumni who have moved into professional public-service roles, including two 2026 graduates who received distinctions during a BJMP Jail Basic Recruit Course. The latest 15 passers now begin their own professional chapter, carrying with them the education and training they received at RMMC. Their achievement gives the school another reason to celebrate while offering encouragement to students considering criminology as a career.
