ILOILO CITY — Mayor Raisa S. Treñas received a certificate of recognition from the Center for International Trade Expositions and Missions, naming Iloilo City as one of its Outstanding LGU Partners during MANILA FAME 2026: Bloom. The awarding ceremony took place on October 15, 2026, at the World Trade Center Metro Manila.

A Testament to Strong Partnerships

The recognition highlights the city's commitment to creating opportunities for Ilonggo micro, small, and medium enterprises. Through sustained collaboration with industry stakeholders, Iloilo has built a platform where local artisans and entrepreneurs can showcase their products on the national stage.

Mayor Treñas personally visited the Iloilo booth to express her support for the participating MSMEs. Accompanied by CITEM Executive Director Leah Pulido Ocampo, she reaffirmed the city's dedication to opening wider markets for local enterprises and bringing Ilonggo ingenuity to a broader audience.

Promising Response from Buyers

The participating entrepreneurs have already attracted significant interest from potential buyers. Several visitors obtained contact details from the MSMEs for possible business opportunities, marking a promising development for Ilonggo businesses seeking to expand their market reach.

This early response validates the quality and appeal of Iloilo's locally crafted products. It also demonstrates that Ilonggo creativity can compete effectively in the national marketplace, opening doors for future growth and collaboration.

Building on Success for Future Editions

Now on its second year at MANILA FAME, Iloilo City aims to build on this participation and further expand its presence at next year's fair. The goal is to create more opportunities for local enterprises to showcase their products and connect with buyers from across the country and beyond.

The city's continued engagement with CITEM reflects a long-term strategy to position Iloilo as a hub of creativity and craftsmanship. By investing in MSME development, the local government supports economic growth while preserving cultural heritage.

Supporting Homegrown MSMEs

The public is invited to visit the Iloilo City booths at MANILA FAME 2026 and discover the products of participating MSMEs. Located at B29-B30 and C20-C21, the booths feature a diverse range of locally crafted items that celebrate Ilonggo artistry.

From fashion accessories to home décor, the offerings reflect the region's rich cultural traditions and contemporary design sensibilities. Every purchase supports local entrepreneurs and contributes to the sustainability of Iloilo's creative economy.

From Iloilo to the World

Mayor Treñas reiterated her commitment to initiatives that open more opportunities for local enterprises. She emphasized that Iloilo's creativity is ready to bloom on the world stage, carrying the city's identity beyond its borders.

Padayon sa pagpalapnag sang Ilonggo creativity kag craftsmanship. The recognition from CITEM serves as both an honor and an inspiration to continue nurturing local talent and expanding their reach.
