PHILIPPINES — Megaworld Corporation has officially partnered with the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD) and Pag-IBIG Fund to make township living more accessible. The agreement, signed during the 2nd National Housing Expo, allows qualified members to secure housing loans of up to P10 million.

Expanding Township Access

Property giant Megaworld is opening its integrated townships to more Filipino workers and families. By participating in the government’s Expanded Pambansang Pabahay para sa Pilipino (4PH) Program, the developer aims to bridge the gap between premium living and accessible financing for the masses.

Megaworld President and CEO Lourdes Gutierrez-Alfonso emphasized that homeownership goes beyond just having a place to stay. It is about becoming part of a thriving community where work, leisure, and lifestyle needs are seamlessly connected and entirely within reach.

This partnership allows prospective buyers to explore residential options across various Megaworld estates nationwide. The developer will actively assist buyers in preparing loan applications while ensuring all documentary requirements are accurately submitted to the agency for swift processing.

Promotional Financing Rates

To further ease the financial burden, Pag-IBIG Fund is offering highly competitive promotional interest rates. Loans above the socialized housing ceiling up to P4.9 million will enjoy a 4.5 percent rate, while loans up to P10 million will be charged 5.75 percent.

These special rates are fixed for the first three years, giving homebuyers a predictable and manageable monthly payment scheme. This initiative is available to eligible members until the end of the year, encouraging immediate action from prospective property investors.

Pag-IBIG Fund CEO Marilene Acosta noted that finding the right home is crucial, but making it affordable is equally vital. The program aims to translate these agreements into better value and meaningful opportunities for all members seeking to invest in their future.

Expo Perks and Upgrades

During the two-day housing expo, Megaworld sweetened the deal with its Mega Condo Upgrade promotion. Qualified buyers of select studio and one-bedroom condominiums received free upgrades to higher unit categories at no additional cost to the buyer.

The developer also offered preferential property prices and exclusive incentives for ready-for-occupancy units and residential lots. These special rates were exclusively available at the Megaworld booth during the event, drawing significant attention from attendees.

Adding excitement to the event, visitors participated in the Meg Hotels Raffle for a chance to win complimentary overnight stays at Megaworld Global Hotels and Resorts. Draws were held every thirty minutes, keeping the crowd highly engaged and entertained.

Driving National Homeownership

The partnership forms a significant part of the national government's push to expand housing opportunities across the country. DHSUD Secretary Jose Ramon Aliling graced the signing ceremony, highlighting the vital role of private-sector collaboration in solving the housing backlog.

By combining government financing with private developer expertise, Megaworld continues to attract potential buyers to its dynamic townships. These communities integrate residential spaces with offices, shopping centers, and recreational facilities to create a complete lifestyle ecosystem.

This collaborative effort proves that accessible financing and integrated urban planning can go hand in hand. It ultimately transforms the dream of owning a home in a premium township into a tangible reality for countless Filipino families.
