CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY — The City of Golden Friendship is about to add another vibrant note to its growing tourism melody as internationally acclaimed acoustic duo Music Travel Love announces an additional stop in Cagayan de Oro for their 2026 Philippine tour. The concert, set for June 26 at The Atrium, Limketkai Center, marks the first time the globally followed Canadian brothers will perform in Mindanao, and local tourism stakeholders are already gearing up for an influx of visitors.
From YouTube Sensation to CDO Stage
Brothers Bob and Clint Moffatt—formerly of the chart-topping 90s band The Moffatts—have reinvented themselves as Music Travel Love, an acoustic project that has amassed over 25 million followers across social media platforms. Their signature videos feature the duo performing nostalgic love songs and original pieces in some of the world's most breathtaking locations, from beaches to mountain tops. Now, they're bringing that signature blend of music and wanderlust to CDO.
The duo has performed over 6,000 live shows since the age of four, sold more than seven million records, and earned gold and platinum certifications in 32 countries. Their Philippine connection runs deep—they still hold album sales records for an international act in the country, alongside Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, and Singapore.
A Three-City Tour with a Mindanao First
Originally scheduled for two shows in Cebu (June 27 at Waterfront Cebu City Hotel & Casino) and Manila (June 28 at New Frontier Theater), the duo added the CDO date in response to overwhelming demand from Mindanao fans. The CDO stop will be the first time the Moffatt brothers perform in Mindanao, giving local fans a rare chance to experience their harmonies live.
Ticket prices for the CDO show range from ₱850 for Upper Alfresco free seating to ₱4,790 for VIP reserved seating, all inclusive of service charges. Tickets went on sale April 14, 2026, via VEENT TIX at mtlcdo.veent.net.
A Night to Remember for Tourists and Locals
The Atrium at Limketkai Center, which can accommodate up to 3,500 concertgoers, has hosted numerous major acts in the past, and the June 26 show is expected to draw not only Kagay-anons but also fans from neighboring provinces and even from across Mindanao.
A Tourism Multiplier Effect
For Cagayan de Oro's tourism sector, the arrival of an internationally recognized act is more than just an entertainment event—it's an opportunity. The influx of out-of-town visitors is expected to boost hotel bookings, restaurant traffic, and retail activity in the days surrounding the concert. Limketkai Center, already a major commercial hub, will see increased foot traffic, while local tour operators can package the concert with CDO's existing attractions—whitewater rafting, the Lunhaw green corridor, and heritage tours.
Moreover, the concert dovetails with the city's broader push to diversify its tourism offerings beyond adventure travel. By hosting international acts, CDO signals its emergence as a viable stop for global entertainment tours, enhancing its reputation as a dynamic urban destination.
Ticket Information
Tickets for the Cagayan de Oro show are available through the official ticketing partner VEENT TIX. Given the duo's massive online following and the limited seating capacity at The Atrium, early purchase is strongly recommended. For those who miss out, the Cebu and Manila shows remain options, but for Mindanao-based fans, the CDO date is a rare and special opportunity.
A Milestone for Local Entertainment
The Music Travel Love concert represents a milestone for Cagayan de Oro's live entertainment scene. As the city continues to grow as a regional hub, attracting major international acts will become an increasingly important part of its tourism and economic strategy. For one night in June, the spotlight will be on CDO—and the world will be watching.
