PHILIPPINES — Passengers flying through Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 2 now have exciting new options to enjoy. The North Wing departure airside recently welcomed five new dining and retail establishments, significantly improving the pre-flight experience for both local and international travelers.

Elevating the Passenger Experience

These additions provide travelers with more places to relax, grab a quick bite, or shop for last-minute essentials. It marks a major upgrade for an area that previously offered limited food options before the New NAIA Infra Corp. officially took over airport operations in September 2024.

A Diverse Culinary and Retail Lineup

The new lineup spans two levels, featuring popular and familiar food brands. On the second floor, travelers can enjoy the savory offerings of Kenny Rogers Roasters alongside a fresh brew from Seattle's Best Coffee. The mezzanine level hosts Paris Baguette, General's Lechon, and Travel Hub.

Travel Hub adds a welcome shopping element to the terminal. It offers a wide selection of Filipino pasalubong, local gifts, snacks, and personal items, giving passengers a convenient opportunity to pick up something special for family and friends before their flight.

Cozy Mezzanine Spaces and Flight Tracking

A standout feature of the new area is its cozy mezzanine dining space. It boasts large glass windows overlooking the bustling passenger waiting area below. Travelers can enjoy a relaxing meal while watching the movement downstairs, adding a lively atmosphere to their wait.

Convenience remains a top priority in this new design. Nearby flight information displays allow passengers to track their departing flights easily. This thoughtful layout ensures travelers can comfortably unwind without worrying about missing their boarding calls.

Modernizing Airport Operations and Efficiency

The expansion forms part of NNIC's broader "Food. Fly. Fun." concept and a wider program to modernize NAIA. Upgrades to boarding areas, transport access, and wayfinding are actively being implemented alongside these new retail options to enhance overall passenger comfort.

Operational efficiency has also seen a notable boost alongside these facility upgrades. System-wide on-time performance reached 81.09 percent from January to October 2026, improving significantly from the 77.72 percent recorded during the same period last year.

Managing Record Passenger Volumes

These improvements are crucial as NAIA manages passenger volumes well beyond its original design capacity of 35 million annually. The airport served a record 52 million passengers in 2025, underscoring the urgent need to expand facilities while keeping the gateway fully operational.

Under the public-private partnership agreement, NNIC continues to operate and modernize the country's main international gateway. The new dining and retail spots at Terminal 2 stand as a testament to their ongoing commitment to elevating the traveler experience.
