The BOI has approved the development of a 24-hectare industrial park in Mexico, Pampanga, expected to generate employment during construction and operations while strengthening Central Luzon's position as a key manufacturing and logistics hub.
A Strategic Investment in Central Luzon's Growth
The Board of Investments (BOI) has officially approved the registration of a domestic industrial park in Mexico, Pampanga, developed by Fortunetown Properties Corp. with an investment valued at P630 million . Spanning approximately 24 hectares, the industrial park is designed to provide serviced industrial land and facilities for manufacturing, warehousing, and logistics-related enterprises . Trade Secretary and BOI Chairperson Cristina Roque emphasized that the project will create opportunities for businesses to expand and generate jobs while supporting the decentralization of economic activity outside Metro Manila . The industrial park is scheduled to commence commercial operations in June 2026, reinforcing Central Luzon's role as a key manufacturing and logistics hub supported by its strategic location and connectivity to major infrastructure corridors.
Employment Generation and Economic Impact
The project is expected to generate employment during both construction and operational phases, creating livelihood opportunities for Kapampangans . Beyond construction jobs, the industrial park will subsequently create long-term operational employment for administrative, skilled, and trade professionals. The BOI noted that the project is projected to stimulate broader economic activity by attracting locators, supporting domestic supply chains, and creating multiplier effects through increased demand for local goods and services . This development aligns with Central Luzon's impressive economic growth of 4.46% in 2025, outpacing the National Capital Region's 4.35% . The industrial park forms part of a larger package of BOI-approved projects totaling P1.98 billion, which also includes two mass housing developments expected to deliver more than 1,700 affordable housing units.
