The Pressure Builds With Every Shot
BACOLOD - By the third day of competition, the challenge is about more than simply hitting the center of the target. Archers must maintain their concentration through multiple rounds, control their technique, and remain composed when the pressure rises. Small differences in accuracy can have a major effect on results, making consistency one of the most important skills on the field. For young competitors, the event is also an opportunity to experience the intensity and discipline expected at a national level.
Bacolod Becomes a Stage for Young Talent
The new BCNHS Football Pitch is providing the setting for athletes pursuing a potential place in the national team. Hosting a competition of this level gives local spectators an opportunity to witness the demanding side of archery up close, where preparation and precision are visible in every shot. It also gives participating athletes valuable competitive experience as they work toward a much bigger goal.
The Road to October 29 Continues
Competition continues until October 29, keeping the focus firmly on the targets and the possibility of earning a place at the 2026 Asian Youth Archery Championship. For these young athletes, the journey is about more than one competition day. It is about staying focused when the outcome is uncertain, recovering from a difficult shot, and trusting the training that brought them to the line. The target may be several meters away, but the dream is much bigger: representing the Philippines on an international stage.
