PHILIPPINES— Ayala Land Logistics Holdings Corp. (ALLHC) has officially welcomed Taiwanese solar float manufacturer Suntoward Tech Philippine Inc. to its roster of locators. The company has secured significant industrial space at ALogis Mabalacat 1 in Pampanga and Batangas Technopark, marking a major foreign investment milestone.
Expanding Footprint in the Philippines
Suntoward has leased over 3,800 square meters of gross leasable area at ALogis Mabalacat 1 for its initial manufacturing operations. Additionally, the company signed a long-term lease for an 8,200-square-meter industrial lot at Batangas Technopark to support its future expansion plans.
This strategic move marks the Taiwanese manufacturer's first foray into the local market. By establishing these facilities, Suntoward aims to bring its manufacturing capabilities closer to key renewable energy projects, ensuring a highly efficient supply chain for its regional clients.
Manufacturing Floating Solar Components
The company will manufacture, fabricate, and assemble high-density polyethylene (HDPE) floats, walkways, and mounting components for floating solar photovoltaic systems. Production at the Pampanga facility is scheduled to begin in the first quarter of 2027.
Suntoward will primarily serve renewable energy developers, engineering, procurement and construction contractors, and industrial clients across the Philippines and overseas. This strategic focus positions the company at the forefront of the rapidly growing renewable energy sector in the region.
Strategic Locations for Logistics
The two leased facilities provide Suntoward with prime locations in key regional growth areas. ALogis Mabalacat 1 within Pampanga Technopark offers direct access to the North Luzon Expressway and the Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway, alongside the nearby Clark International Airport.
Meanwhile, the Batangas Technopark in Padre Garcia provides connectivity via the South Luzon Expressway and the Southern Tagalog Arterial Road Tollway. These highly accessible industrial parks ensure seamless logistics for both raw materials and the distribution of finished products.
Driving Local Economic Growth
Suntoward's planned operations are expected to inject significant vitality into local economic activity. The establishment of this manufacturing presence will create new employment opportunities for residents in Pampanga and Batangas, supporting the government's push for industrial expansion.
ALLHC Chief Operating Officer Patrick C. Avila noted that Suntoward's entry reflects the critical role of their industrial properties in accommodating foreign businesses. By providing strategic facilities, ALLHC supports companies as they expand capacity and serve their markets effectively.
Suntoward President Jack Wang expressed excitement about establishing the company's first operations in the country. He emphasized that this investment allows them to contribute to local industrial growth while serving their clients better through improved regional logistics.
