PHILIPPINES — Two more of the country’s leading property developers are set to formalize their partnership with Pag-IBIG Fund, significantly widening homeownership options for Filipino families under the Expanded Pambansang Pabahay para sa Pilipino (4PH) Program. The Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD) confirmed the impending agreements, marking another major milestone for the government’s flagship housing initiative.
A Growing Vote of Confidence
The entry of these top-tier developers follows the earlier commitment of five major industry players: Megawide Construction Corp., Ayala Land Inc.’s housing brands Amaia and Avida, SM Development Corp., Filinvest Land Inc., and Robinsons Land Corp. Their collective participation has been described by DHSUD Secretary Jose Ramon Aliling as a “gamechanger” for the government’s housing agenda.
Secretary Aliling emphasized that private sector confidence continues to grow, providing better quality housing and wider financing options for homebuyer-beneficiaries. He noted that the involvement of reputable developers ensures that Filipino workers will have access to homes in prime locations, reinforcing the sustainability of the 4PH Program.
Newest Developer Partners
Among the newest partners to join the fold are Rockwell Land Corp. and DMCI Homes, both of which have recently signed their respective memoranda of understanding with Pag-IBIG Fund. Their participation brings the total number of major developer-partners to seven, signaling a strong and unified push toward addressing the country’s housing backlog.
Rockwell Land’s partnership initially covers accredited developments such as Stonewell Acacia Homes and Stonewell Mahogany Homes in Sto. Tomas, Batangas. Meanwhile, DMCI Homes is offering up to 3,990 condominium units across various projects, with accreditation underway for multiple residential communities in Metro Manila.
Preferential Rates and Broader Choices
Under the agreements, the participating developers will identify available units, including ready-for-occupancy properties, and offer preferential pricing to qualified Pag-IBIG members. Pag-IBIG Fund will provide the necessary housing financing, loan counseling, and assistance to help members make informed decisions.
This collaboration expands the choices available to members across different income levels. Pag-IBIG Fund CEO Marilene Acosta emphasized that bringing in a diverse range of developers ensures that there is something for every budget and lifestyle, making the dream of homeownership more attainable for more Filipino families.
Sustaining the Momentum
The impending signings are expected to serve as a major highlight of the upcoming second National Housing Expo, scheduled for October 19–20 at the SMX Convention Center Manila. The expo will feature thousands of housing units and on-site loan assistance, providing a direct avenue for members to explore the newly available options.
As more developers join the 4PH Program, the government reinforces its commitment to providing safe, decent, and affordable homes. The sustained partnership between the public and private sectors demonstrates a shared dedication to building communities and securing a better future for every Filipino worker.
