Bonifacio Global City introduced one of its most unique lifestyle attractions in 2026 with the rise of floating weekend markets designed around artificial water features and urban park spaces. Combining food stalls, live music, and floating retail booths, the markets quickly became one of the district’s biggest weekend attractions.
Every Friday evening until Sunday night, visitors gather around illuminated waterfront areas where small floating platforms showcase local food vendors, handmade crafts, fashion products, and dessert stalls. Decorative lights, live acoustic performances, and outdoor seating areas create a relaxing atmosphere that feels different from traditional shopping markets in the metro. Organizers explained that the concept was inspired by famous floating markets in other Asian cities but redesigned to fit BGC’s modern urban environment. Many local entrepreneurs welcomed the project because it gave small businesses and startup brands opportunities to reach larger audiences.
Tourists and content creators have also contributed to the popularity of the markets, frequently posting videos of glowing waterfront stalls and nighttime city views online. Several nearby cafés and restaurants reported increased customer traffic because of the growing attraction. Urban tourism experts believe the floating markets represent how BGC continues experimenting with creative public experiences that combine entertainment, commerce, and community interaction in innovative ways.
