CEBU CITY — The Cebu Provincial Government, led by Governor Pamela S. Baricuatro, proudly presented the Toilet Stop Partnership Program at the 10th International Toilet Culture Conference. The event took place on October 16, 2026, at the City Garden Grand Hotel in Manila, gathering key tourism stakeholders.
Elevating Travel Through Proper Sanitation
This initiative underscores the province's dedication to providing clean, safe, and accessible facilities for everyone. Proper sanitation is far more than a mere convenience; it is a critical component of protecting public health and preserving human dignity across all destinations.
By elevating the standard of public restrooms, Cebu enhances the overall travel experience for visitors. This proactive approach ensures that tourists feel welcomed and comfortable as they explore the diverse attractions of the province, fostering a highly positive image of local hospitality.
Northern Cebu's Accredited Facilities
The program has successfully accredited 17 establishments as official Clean Toilet Stops. In Northern Cebu, travelers can find these facilities at the SeaOil Gas Station in Daanbantayan, ARC Fuel in San Remigio, Shell in Bogo City, and Bastap in Carmen, ensuring reliable stops along key routes.
Continuing through Compostela, visitors can utilize the Boardwalk and Shell Café. Accredited stops also include the Shell Gas Station in Mandaue City, along with the Mactan Shrine and another Shell station in Lapu-Lapu City, catering to high-traffic tourist zones.
Southern Cebu's Welcoming Stops
For those traveling down south, the province has designated clean stops in Sibonga, Argao, Oslob, Aloguinsan, and Barili. These include the RM Shoppe, Caltex SOS Ceres Stop, VANZ Gas Station, SeaOil, and Fill It Up, strategically placed to support long journeys.
Additional accredited facilities include the Shell Gas Station in Naga City and Robinsons Shell in Cebu City. Furthermore, Jas Trading and General Services in Toledo City provides another safe and hygienic option for travelers navigating the western highway.
Digital Access for Every Traveler
To make these stops easily accessible, a dedicated QR code is available for travelers. Scanning this code conveniently links directly to Google Maps, guiding motorists to the nearest accredited facility without any hassle, ensuring a smooth and worry-free journey.
Through the continued expansion of the Toilet Stop Partnership Program, Cebu Province demonstrates that sustainable tourism involves caring for every aspect of the traveler's needs. This holistic strategy ensures that every stop along the journey is cleaner, safer, and more welcoming.
The local government actively encourages more partner establishments to join the program. By working closely with local businesses, the province creates a robust network of hygienic facilities. This collaborative effort directly contributes to the sustainable development of Cebu's tourism industry.
