BongBong's - Lacson

Since 1984
13TH St., Lacson, Bacolod City
Reynaldo B. Villan learned to make piaya while working at a Bacolod bakery. In 1984 he and Ma. Lomer Cañedo married and began cooking piaya at Yulo's Park with a borrowed kalaha and P80 from his separation pay, selling 120 pieces at sixty centavos each. They added barquillos in 1986, moved production to Singcang and opened their first store in 1989, started a backyard factory in Greenplains, Alijis in 1993 (adding biscocho, toasted muffins, butterscotch, cheese and caramel tarts and otap), and built a 2,000 sq. meter production site in Alijis in 2003-2005 for mass production.
