Greenwich started in 1971 as a small over-the-counter pizza store in Greenhills opened by Cresida Tueres, named after her first customers from nearby La Salle Green Hills. Jollibee Foods Corporation bought 80% of the company in 1994, then bought out the remaining partners in 2006 to form Greenwich Pizza Corporation. Under JFC it became the Philippines' largest homegrown pizza chain, marketing itself as the barkada pizza brand.
