Sans Rival Cakes & Pastries - San Jose

Since 1977
165 San Jose Street, Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental
Sans Rival began in 1977 when Trinidad 'Trining' Sagarbarria opened a tiny four-table pastry shop in the family's ancestral home in Dumaguete, after her sans rival cake became a hit. Her silvanas — frozen buttercream-cashew meringue cookies — became Dumaguete's trademark pasalubong. In 2012 the family opened Sans Rival Bistro in the ancestral house on Rizal Boulevard, serving heritage recipes and full meals alongside the famous desserts.
