Zark's Burgers - Cubao

Araneta City, Cubao, Quezon City

Zark Varona, a 23-year-old former cruise-ship cook, opened the first Zark's Burgers in 2009 along Taft Avenue near De La Salle University — an 18-seat hole-in-the-wall with a three-man crew selling huge, affordable burgers to students. Man-vs-food challenges like the Jawbreaker made it a Taft institution, and the chain has since grown to around 60 branches nationwide.
