Thousands of Personnel Assigned Across the Festival

BACOLOD - A total of 3,258 security and support personnel have been tapped for the 47th edition of the MassKara Festival. The deployment includes 2,686 police personnel, 98 personnel from other law enforcement agencies, 314 force multipliers, 90 rescue group members, and 70 traffic personnel. Their presence is intended to support security operations as large crowds gather across different festival activities and venues in Bacolod.

Vehicles and Emergency Equipment Ready for Operations

The security deployment will also be supported by a range of vehicles and equipment. Authorities have prepared 165 mobile patrol cars, 16 firetrucks, one mobile command center, one manlift truck, two prisoner transport vehicles, 32 motorcycles, and 25 ambulances. The resources provide different teams with transportation, emergency response, fire protection, medical assistance, and operational support during the 18-day celebration.

Coordination Becomes Important During Large City Events

The deployment also includes 70 pieces of Civil Disturbance Management equipment and 350 handheld radios, allowing personnel to coordinate during festival operations. With MassKara activities taking place from October 1 to 18, security, traffic, rescue, and emergency teams will have different responsibilities throughout the celebration. For residents, visitors, businesses, and event participants, the coordinated deployment forms part of the city's preparations for managing public safety during one of Bacolod's largest annual gatherings.
