Building a More Sustainable and Progressive City
The mayor also reported significant progress in environmental protection, economic development, disaster preparedness, and infrastructure modernization. Ongoing projects include improvements to waste management systems, sanitary landfill operations, tree-planting initiatives, food security programs, expanded business services, new healthcare facilities, the Bacolod City General Hospital, the City Health Complex, the City Coliseum, emergency response upgrades, housing projects, tourism developments, and enhanced public safety systems. Moving Forward Through Collaboration and Good Governance
Mayor Gasataya emphasized that the HEART+MORE Agenda represents a shared vision that can only be achieved through cooperation among government agencies, the private sector, community organizations, and the people of Bacolod. He also announced that the budget originally allocated for the SOCA program would instead be donated to charitable institutions, underscoring his administration's commitment to public service and community welfare. As Bacolod continues to pursue inclusive growth, the HEART+MORE Agenda provides a comprehensive roadmap for building a city that is healthier, more resilient, economically vibrant, and prepared for future opportunities while ensuring that progress benefits every Bacolodnon.
