BACOLOD - Bacolod City Mayor Greg Gasataya officially appointed former Liga ng mga Barangay President Mona Dia Jardin as Executive Assistant at the City Mayor’s Office. Effective September 15, 2026, Jardin brings extensive administrative experience to her new role within the local government executive branch. Mayor Gasataya emphasized that her distinguished background in public service will greatly ensure the smooth execution of city programs. Her leadership is expected to strengthen municipal governance and enhance overall administrative efficiency across various public service sectors.
Distinguished Background In Local Governance
Jardin possesses a robust career in public service, having previously served as the Punong Barangay of Barangay Felisa for six years. From 2010 to 2013, she demonstrated strong leadership skills after being elected President of the Liga ng mga Barangay in Bacolod City. Furthermore, she contributed her management expertise as a member of the Board of Directors for the Bacolod City Water District before eventually serving as its General Manager. This proven track record equips her with deep insights into community needs and public utility management.

In her capacity as Executive Assistant, Jardin will take direct charge of overseeing critical environmental concerns and specialized municipal programs.
