A Day of Camaraderie at Bantawan
BOHOL - Employees of the Provincial Government of Bohol gathered at Bantawan in Tagbilaran City on September 18, 2026, for the PGBh Family Day, bringing colleagues from different provincial government clusters together for a celebration of teamwork and camaraderie. The activity formed part of the 126th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary, giving employees an opportunity to step away from their regular responsibilities and strengthen connections with coworkers. Representatives from the Development Administration, Finance, Infrastructure, Economic, Social Environment, Legislative, and Health clusters participated in the gathering, reflecting the range of offices involved in delivering provincial programs and services.
Friendly Competitions Highlight Employee Talents
The celebration also gave PGBh employees opportunities to showcase their creativity through several competitions. In the Miss PGBh competition, Desiree Gerenia of the Development Administration Cluster was crowned Miss PGBh and also received the Best in Talent and Best in Q&A awards. The Finance Cluster earned Best in Production, while the Legislative Cluster received Best in Evening Gown. The Hip-hop Dance Competition added another energetic part to the celebration, with the Infrastructure Cluster taking the championship, followed by the Economic Cluster in second place and the Social Environment Cluster in third. Beyond the awards, the activities provided employees with opportunities to work together outside their usual office roles.
Strengthening Connections Across Provincial Government
Gov. Aris Aumentado recognized the dedication of Capitol employees and their role in turning provincial programs into services and development initiatives for Boholanos. Vice Governor Nick Besas, Provincial Administrator Asteria Caberte, Board Members Nathaniel Binlod, Dionisio Joseph Balite, Lucille Lagunay, and Joahna Cabalit-Initay, as well as Chief of Staff Atty. Filipina Asoy-Piollo, also joined the gathering. The Family Day highlighted how employee engagement and teamwork can contribute to a more connected workplace while supporting the PGBh's broader Strategic Governance Roadmap. Held in Tagbilaran City, the gathering also reflected the human side of provincial government work as employees from different clusters came together to celebrate their shared role in serving communities throughout Bohol.
