TAGBILARAN CITY, Bohol — The City Veterinary Office is rolling out its August 2026 pet registration caravan, bringing affordable microchipping and free health services directly to all 15 barangays. Starting today, August 5, pet owners can visit designated sites to keep their dogs and cats protected, registered, and rabies‑free.
A Complete Health Package for Pets
The caravan offers a range of services designed to make responsible pet ownership easy and accessible. For ₱100, owners can secure an annual registration, while a lifetime registration paired with microchipping costs ₱400. Both options come with free anti‑rabies vaccination and deworming, ensuring comprehensive protection at minimal expense.
Microchipping gives pets a permanent digital identity the size of a grain of rice, implanted safely under the skin. If a dog or cat ever gets lost, a quick scan instantly reveals the owner’s contact details. This simple technology not only reunites families but also strengthens the city’s rabies prevention efforts by keeping vaccination records accurate and accessible.
How to Participate
The City Veterinary Office, under Mayor Jane Yap and Head Veterinarian Dr. Genette Mae Egos, designed the schedule to reach every corner of the city. Each barangay has a dedicated date and time slot, with morning sessions running from nine to noon and afternoon sessions from two to five. Owners simply need to bring their pets on a leash or in a carrier and present any available vaccination records.
The caravan opened in Barangay Bool on August 3, then moved to Dao on August 4. Today, August 5, the team visits Cabawan (Cabsawan) from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Tomorrow, August 6, Poblacion 2 residents can access the services during the same afternoon window. After a short weekend break, the caravan resumes on August 10 in Poblacion 3, followed by Booy (August 11), Dampas (August 12), and Taloto (August 13) in the morning. Afternoon sessions return on August 17 in Tiptip, then Poblacion 1 (August 18), Manga (August 19), and San Isidro (August 20). The final morning stops are Cogon (August 24), Mansasa (August 25), and Ubujan (August 26).
