4,457 Families Receive a Helping Hand
BOHOL - The fourth-tranche distribution provided 10 kilos of rice to each of 4,457 beneficiary families, helping households manage their food budgets amid changing commodity prices. The activity was led by the Office of the Provincial Social Welfare and Development, with assistance from the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office, barangay officials, tanods, and community volunteers. Distribution was organized across three sites to serve residents efficiently and keep the process orderly.
Support That Reaches the Community
Bugas Ayuda is funded through the National Government’s Local Government Support Fund, with an additional PHP11-million provincial counterpart, allowing rice assistance to reach eligible families across Bohol. In Talibon, the program extended support across 25 barangays, bringing the assistance directly into communities. Beyond the rice itself, the program represents a practical way of helping families stretch their household resources and focus their budgets on other daily needs.
Keeping Food Assistance Moving Across Bohol
The fourth-tranche distribution continues in municipalities throughout the province, creating more opportunities for eligible households to receive support. Programs like Bugas Ayuda demonstrate how government, local communities, and volunteers can work together to deliver assistance where it matters most. With every sack of rice reaching another household, Bohol continues turning its commitment to responsive social services into action—strengthening food assistance, supporting families, and building a more caring and resilient community across the Bohol Island UNESCO Global Geopark.
